This double-sided bronze hammer amulet is the ideal accessory for the modern Viking, drawing inspiration from a genuine piece discovered in Skane, Sweden.
Throughout the Viking world, amulets were commonly worn, with Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, being the most favored design. Even during the Christian era, this symbol persisted, marking its wearer as a loyal follower of the old ways.
The hammer amulet was believed to invoke the protection of Thor, the mighty god tasked with defending Asgard and Midgard against the chaotic forces of the giants using his formidable hammer.
Archaeological findings show that Mjolnir amulets were more prevalent than any other amulet, with more than twice as many examples found. This particular piece is inspired by one such amulet found in Skane, one of the most significant Viking archaeological sites.
