What does this jewelry represent?
Odin is the principal god in the horse pantheon and is the god of war. But he is also the god of wisdom, representing the importance of both brains and brawn in the Viking world.
Odin would famously do anything to obtain wisdom. He plucked out his own eye for a sip from the well of wisdom.
This Viking-style bangle is decorated with traditional knotwork and the Triskelion, one of the symbols associated with Odin as the god of wisdom. It refers to the story in which he stole the Mead of Poetry from the against and stored it in three giant drinking horns in Asgard.
The mead gave Odin mastery of the spoken word, and he shared some of the mead with the bards of Midgard. This is the perfect piece for a modern Viking wordsmith.
This arm ring is designed to be flexible so that you can open it to put it on and then squeeze it close to tighten it around your wrist. Don't be surprised to hear a quiet crackling sound, but do avoid opening and closing the bracelet excessively.
