Description : What does this product represent?

This stunning and finely crafted bronze pendant is a replica of a genuine Viking age gold pendant from Sigtuna in Sweden. It is decorated with fine granulation and filigree techniques.

The pendant seems to be a representation of a raven, an animal sacred to Odin, the All-Father and the god of war, wisdom, wanderers, writing, witchcraft, and Valhalla. Ravens reflect the multifaceted nature of the god.

Odin has two ravens, Huginn (thought) and Muninn (memory) who flew out into the world each day and told Odin everything they saw and heard. When Odin decided to wander himself, he was also often accompanied by ravens.

It was considered a good omen to see ravens circling the battlefield as it meant that Odin was present to choose the bravest fallen dead to take to the afterlife of Valhalla.

This is the perfect piece for those who honor Odin and crave authentic Viking designs.
