While we might like to imagine the Vikings carrying axes into battle, the most common battle weapon used by the raiders was the spear. The spear was also one of the symbols of Odin, the principal Norse god and the god of war, wisdom, wanderers, and more.
His spear was called Gungnir, and it was crafted by the dwarves, especially for the god. It was so well-balanced that it never missed its mark. This stunning pendant is based on a classic Gungnir design.
The spearhead of this stunning pendant is decorated with a magical runic stave known as Vegvisir. Found in the Icelandic magical grimoires of the 18th century, it was a powerful wayfinding symbol.
