What does this jewelry represent?
This stunning sterling silver pendant combines many of the Viking symbols associated with Odin.
Odin was the principal deity of the Viking pantheon. Known as the All-Father, he was the god of war, wisdom, wanderers, and witchcraft.
He has two raven companions, Huginn (memory) and Muninn (thought) that accompanied him everywhere.
The horn Triskelion, located at the center of the pendant, represents the Mead of Poetry, which was stored in three giant drinking horns. Odin famously drunk all of the mead to gain its knowledge for himself, though he shared some of it with mankind.
The pendant is also bordered by runes, which served as both an alphabet and a magical toolkit for the Vikings.
Odin discovered the secrets of the runes by hanging himself, pierced by his own spear, from Yggdrasil for nine days and nine nights. He then shared that knowledge with mankind.
This is the perfect piece for honoring Odin.
