What does this jewelry represent?

In the Viking age, it was very common to wear Mjolnir amulets. These were a symbol of the old religion, that was being challenged by Christianity. It also represented the protection of Thor, considered the strongest of the Aesir gods.

This stunning pendant in stainless steel is decorated in silver and gold, copying genuine examples from the Viking age, such as the example from Odeshog.

The hammerhead is decorated with Jormungandr, with its body twisting around itself into an elaborate pattern in a genuine Norse art style. Jormungandr represents the thing that men and gods fear most.

The gods threw the young serpent into the water surrounding Midgard to get him out of the way. But the serpent will emerge from the waters at Ragnarok and he and Thor will fight to the death. He is a reminder to face your fears, or they can grow.
