Old Inspiration Mjolnir Thor's Hammer 316L Pendant
💎Decorated with various Viking symbols including the Triquetra and Raven
Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer, was the most popular symbol worn by the Vikings. It was considered a symbol of protection as Thor wields his hammer to protect the world of men from the chaotic forces of the giants.
More Mjolnir symbols survive in the archaeological record than all other Viking symbols combined. It was also the symbol used well into the Christian period to show continued allegiance to the old gods.
This intricately designed Thor's Hammer pendant in stainless steel has a lot of delicate and abstract designs.
The handle of the hammer looks like the head of a warrior, or the face of a raven, a common theme in historical examples. This is usually interpreted as being the head of Odin, the Viking god of war, and the head of one of his ravens, representing Odin in his guise as the god of wisdom.
On the hammerhead are Triquetra symbols, linked with Viking Seidr magic, and S symbols, associated with the trickster Loki.
