Do you trace your Viking roots through the east, through the Vikings who settled in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Poland?
Then this Perun's axe pendant is the perfect amulet for you. In the east, this was the most popular amulet among the Vikings. It was worn as a symbol of protection, very much like Mjolnir amulets in the west.
If you look carefully, you can see that this pendant is decorated with the image of a stag, with two mighty horns protruding from its head. Beneath it sits a small raven.
These are both symbols of Odin, the chief Viking god, and represents the dual nature of a Viking warrior as both courageous and wise.
The stag is Eikþyrnir, who stands on top of Valhalla, the afterlife where all brave Viking warriors hope to find themselves.
The raven was also a familiar of Odin, and represents him in his guise as the god of wisdom as well as war.
This is the perfect protective amulet for a modern Viking who embodies the values of courage and wisdom.
