What does this jewelry represent?
The raven was an important symbol of Odin, the All-Father, and the god of war, wisdom, wanderers, and witchcraft.
He was accompanied by two ravens, Huginn (thought) and Muninn (memory), and ravens flew across the Norse cosmos acting as the eyes and ears of the god.
Seeing ravens circling over the battlefield was a good omen, as it meant that Odin was present to select brave fallen warriors to take to Valhalla.
Odin often took to wandering the world in disguise, but his true identity was often revealed by the presence of ravens.
