Slavic Earrings by Zawada Lanckorońska Bronze

💎 Replica of 10th-century Slavic earrings from Zawada Lanckorońska in Poland
💎 Known as temple earrings and often braided into the hair
💎 Popular between the 8th and 12th centuries
💎 Handcrafted in fine bronze

These amazing earrings represent the style of earrings typical among Slavic women in the 8th-12th centuries. Examples are found in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

This particular set is a replica of an earring dating from the 10th century and founds in the small Polish village of Zawada Lanckorońska.

This style of earring are also known as temple rings because they were worn on the head, near the temples of a woman or a girl. They were usually made of base metals, but some silver and gold examples also survive.

Different tribes had their own designs and were often attached to a string that became part of a headdress or they were woven directly into braids of hair.
