Aegishjalmur, of the Helm of Awe, is a Viking age symbol that gave the user extreme strength and courage in battle. The dwarf-turned-dragon Fafnir used the symbol to defeat all those who tried to steal his treasure.
A version of the Aegishjalmur is preserved in the 18th-century Icelandic magical grimoires. It advises the user to draw the symbol on their forehead. This will invoke the support of the gods so that they will be successful in all their endeavors.
This sterling silver pendant shows the Aegishjalrmur symbol, plated in rose gold. It is in a circle of cubic zirconia crystals.
