Thor Hammer Mjolnir Naga Dragon Sterling Silver Pendant
Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, was the most comment pendant worn by the Vikings themselves. Twice as many survive from the Viking period as all other symbols combined.
It was a potent symbol of protection, as Thor used his hammer to defend mankind and Asgard against the giants.
Thor was also the ideal warrior, so represented a figure that all warriors wanted to emulate.
This sterling silver pendant is inspired by genuine Mjolnir pendants surviving from the Viking period.
The hammerhead is decorated with a dragon, representing Nidhogg, the dragon that lives at the base of Yggdrasil.
This dragon is often associated with Naga dragons known from Buddhism, which were creatures that straddled the world of men and the divine.
