What does this jewelry represent ?
In Norse symbology, the triskelion honors Odin in his guise as the god of wisdom and poetry, and refers to the story of the Mead of Poetry.
The Mead of Poetry was held by the giants in three great horns. Odin, who would do anything for wisdom, tricked his way into the stronghold of the giants and drank all three horns.
As Odin escaped in the form of a bird, and very full of mead, he urinated some of the liquid over the world of men. This mixed with the natural world, and became the source of poetic ability among men.
The triskelion was therefore the symbol of the bard, but also a symbol of Odin's unquenchable thirst for knowledge.
