What does this jewelry represent ?
The berserkers were the most fearsome of Viking warriors. It was believed that the communed with the spirit of the bear before battle, and then took that spirit with them, making them brave, ferocious, and almost invincible.
There are many theories about how Viking berserker achieved this state. Perhaps they worked themselves into a frenzy, maybe the used hallucinogens, or it is possible that they really did commune with the spirit of the bear.
