Description : What does this product represent?

When picturing a Viking warrior, it’s hard not to imagine them wielding an axe. Axes were essential tools, carried by all Vikings from farmers to warriors as part of daily life and survival.

This sterling silver pendant is crafted in the traditional Mammen style, a distinctive decorative style from Denmark’s late tenth century. The axe’s intricate design is formed by the body of a serpent twisted upon itself, symbolizing the legendary Midgard Serpent, Jormungandr.

In Norse mythology, Jormungandr, Thor’s great nemesis, represents all the fears a Viking must face. By wearing this piece, you carry a reminder of the courage to confront life’s most daunting challenges.
