What does this jewelry represent ?

The Vikings believed in the power of symbols and magic.

To them, the Futhark runes were more than just an alphabet, but rather a system of symbology that could be used to shape the world to your will, if you knew what you were doing.

To the Vikings, written symbols had power.

One of the most popular symbols used by the Vikings was the Valknut.

This was an image of three interlocking triangles often inscribed on graves and grave goods.

The symbol was associated with Valhalla, and was probably used by the Vikings as a form of symbol magic to ensure that Odin took this particular fallen warrior to Valhalla, and did not leave them behind to go to Hel.

The criteria for making it to Valhalla, besides the favour of Odin, was to live and die as a brave Viking warrior. As such, the Valknut has also become associated with the Viking warrior mentality.

Bring this courage and fearlessness into your own life with this striking stainless steel pendant that places an authentic Viking Valknut symbol within a magical circle of Viking runes.
