💎 Fine and detailed craftsmanship
This stunning ring features Vegvisir, also known as the Norse Compass, a magical runic stave found in the Icelandic grimoires of the 18th century. It is a wayfinding symbol for Viking adventurers.
The Vikings believed that their runes were more than just an alphabet. As well as describing the world, the Viking believed that the runes could be used to shape the world through magic. Many of the heroes of the sagas were runemasters.
While much of their knowledge has been lost through the ages, the rune magic practices of their Icelandic descendants are preserved in these grimoires.
They contain staves that combine the runes into potent magical symbols.
One of these symbols is Vegvisir. A guiding symbol, it ensures that the user never loses their way, even when they don't know where they are going.
This makes Vegvisir the ideal symbol for the modern Viking adventurer, whether they are traveling the world, or on their own internal journey. It is set on a nature-inspired band featuring oak leaf decorations.
