Freki is one half of the two wolves Odin had, with the other one being called Geri. Both names mean “the ravenous”, reflecting the fear they instilled in their enemies. Constant companions of Odin, they ensured that order was maintained across the worlds.

Geri and Freki were formidable guardians, attacking any giants who dared to cross the borders, thus protecting the Aesir gods.
