What does this jewelry represent?
The Triskelion is a common symbol in many cultures, and is usually associated with magic and the occult.
In Norse beliefs, it was associated with Odin, though the exact connection between the god and the symbol is obscure.
It is thought that it may represent him in his guise of the god of wisdom and poetry, with the three curls representing the three drinking horns in which the mead of poetry was stored.
But it may also represent Odin as a god of witchcraft, as he was also a master practitioner of Seidr magic, despite it being considered a feminine art.
While the traditional link between the symbol and Odin is lost, this striking sterling silver necklace is a great way to mark respect for the chief of the Viking pantheon who was the god of war, wisdom, witchcraft, poetry, the runes, death, and more.
