Description : What does this product represent?

This arm ring is made in the classic style worn by the Vikings. They were symbols of wealth, status, and membership in a specific warrior group. Sometimes they became religious symbols with oaths sworn on the rings, and at other times they were used as currency, with pieces struck off for payments.

This arm ring features a classic geometric design common in Norse art and ends in two cat heads, animals sacred to the goddess Freyja.

Freyja is a fertility goddess in the Norse pantheon, also the goddess of love and beauty, and a master of Seidr magic. She may have been one of Odin's Valkyries, divine shieldmaidens.

Freyja rode in a chariot drawn by two blueish-grey male cats, a gift from the god Thor. Cats were possibly associated with witchcraft and Seidr magic. Nine cats appear in a carving included in the Oseberg ship burial, believed to be the resting place of a powerful Viking witch.
