💎 A unique and unusual piece
What does this jewelry represent?
This striking bronze ring is inspired by the Gjermundbu helmet, a Viking period helmet discovered in Norway.
Symbols of the god Odin have been added to the Helmet. Odin was the god to which all warriors would direct themselves before going into battle.
On the front of the helmet, above the eyes, are two ravens, birds sacred to Odin. The god had two raven familiars, Huginn (thought) and Muninn (memory), which traveled the world as his eyes and ears. The appearance of ravens also suggested the Odin was near.
On the sides of the ring are two wolves, their bodies elongated and intertwining in traditional Viking artistic style. They represent two other familiars of Odin, Geri (ravenous) and Freki (greedy). These wolves accompanied Odin everywhere he went and were a source of both strength and challenge.
This ring is perfect for the modern Viking warrior who wants to honor Odin, but in their own, unique style.
