Description : What does this product represent?

The Vikings believed that their runes were more than just an alphabet, they were more than just a way to describe the world.

The runes could also be used to shape the world. When used correctly they could be combined to create potent magical symbols.

Some knowledge of how the Vikings used the runes has been preserved in a number of Icelandic grimoires.

These magical texts show how the runes were turned into staves and combined to make magic.

One of the most famous symbols preserved in these grimoires is the Helm of Awe, also known as Aegishjalmur.

It combines eight staves based on the Alghiz rune to create a powerful protective symbol.

Warriors would draw the symbol on their foreheads before battle to give themselves courage, and invoke the protection of Odin.

This striking, standout pendant places this protective magical symbol at its center. It is then surrounded by the Viking's runic alphabet in a tribute to their power.

This piece is the perfect amulet of protection, and a great way to show off your Viking credentials.
