What does this jewelry represent ?
Odin was the most important god in the Norse pantheon, and a complex deity. He was the god of war, wisdom, death, poetry, the runes, and sorcery. He was also the Allfather, the creator of mankind and the progenitor of most of the gods.
This striking ruthenium ring combines a number of symbols of Odin.
The skull represents Odin as a god of death, as does the Valknut on his head. This was the symbol of Valhalla, the hall in Asgard where Odin took fallen warriors in the afterlife. There the warriors would live until they were called on to fight alongside the gods during Ragnarok.
In this way, the Valknut was also a symbol of the courage and bravery that a Viking needed to find themselves in Valhalla.
The ravens on either side of the skull are the two ravens of Odin, Huginn and Muninn, memory and thought. They traveled the cosmos and reported everything they saw back to Odin. As such, they were linked with Odin as the god of wisdom.
This piece is perfect for any modern-day Viking dedicated to Odin, the Allfather.
