The herringbone pattern is a historical weaving method that was used throughout early medieval Europe and still exists today.
Archaeological findings show that the Vikings wore fabrics using this weaving method. Textile fragments with a herringbone pattern have been excavated, for example, in the historic Viking towns of Hedeby, Birka, Jorvik (Coppergate and Lloyds Bank) and in London.
The herringbone design makes these trousers look very historically correct and is an asset to Viking re-enactors.
Suitable for medieval re-enactments.
