Odin is often honoured as the Viking god of war, but we should not forget that he was also the Norse god of wisdom.
Famously he was willing to take great risks to acquire knowledge.
Odin is said to have plucked out his own eye in order to be able to drink from the well of wisdom.
He also hung himself from the Tree of Life for nine days and nine nights while pierced by his own spear in order to gain knowledge of the runes.
The Vikings often used the triskel, a symbol of three interlocking drinking horns, to represent Odin in his guise as the god of wisdom.
This was a reference to another story in which Odin tricked a family of giants in order to consume the Mead of Poetry, which was held in three drinking horns.
These triskel earrings are perfect for any follower of Odin who appreciates his role as the god of wisdom, and understands that just as a warrior is strong and brave, they must also be smart and canny. Knowledge is power.
