This distinctive silver pendant combines two potent Viking symbols of strength and protection: Mjolnir and Aegishjalmur.
Mjolnir, better known as Thor's hammer, was the ultimate symbol of strength and protection for the Vikings.
It was with his hammer that Thor smashed the giants that threatened to descend chaos on Asgard and Midgard, creating lightning and thunder with every deadly stroke.
Aegishjalmur, also known as the Helm of Awe, was both a physical artefact and a magic spell.
According to the story of the dwarf Fafnir, he was in possession of a physical Helm of Awe which he wore to give him unequalled strength.
But the Helm of Awe is also recorded as a magical runic stave in the Icelandic grimoires. Warriors would pain the symbol on their forehead to bring them protection and strength in battle.
This distinctive pendant combines these two symbols, imprinting the Aegishjalmur stave onto Thor's hammer.
As an especially unique feature, the reverse side of the pendant shows a distinctive dwarven face, a reference to the story of Fafnir.
