The Norse wolf represented the most powerful forces in nature in the Viking world. The most recognizable Norse wolf is Fenrir, one of the sons of Loki. He was so feared by the gods that they chained him up and imprisoned him on a desert island. He is destined to escape his chains at Ragnarok when he will run through the world, devouring everything before him for vengeance.

The god Odin was always accompanied by two wolves, Geri (greed) and Freki (ravenous. They represent powerful forces within Odin that he must guard against, but can also harness for strength.

The Triquetra is a symbol of natural magic and witchcraft in many cultures, including among the Vikings. Odin was a master of Seidr magic.
