The Valknut, a symbol of three interlocking triangles, was a popular Norse symbol found across the Viking territories. Its name means "knot of warriors" and it was associated with Valhalla.
This was the hall of Odin, the god of war among other things.
Warriors who fell bravely in battle were taken there to feast and fight until Ragnarok, when they would be called on again to fight alongside Odin in the final battle.
The Valknut represents Viking courage and bravery, and the reward for doing what is right, even when it is hard, and the sacrifices demanded great.
This pendant provides an authentic representation of the Viking symbol within a frame of Viking Urnes art, an art from that was popular among the Vikings in the late 11th and early 12th century.
The result is a beautiful, distinctive and authentic amulet that invokes bravery and courage.
