What does this jewelry represent?
Arm rings like this were commonly worn in the Viking world. They were fashionable pieces, but could also be used to swear oaths. There are stories of arm rings placed in the center of sacred spaces for the swearing of oaths. Many modern Vikings wear arm rings as symbols of the promises they have made to themselves.
This arm ring features the Vigvisir symbol. This is one of the magical runic staves found in the Icelandic grimoires of the 18th century. It is a wayfinding symbol that ensures you never lose your way, even if you do not know your destination. While it was probably used by sailors in the 18th century, it has become a symbol of spiritual guidance in modern Asatru.
The bracelet also has triquetra details on the closure. This symbol was associated with Odin and Seidr magic. In many cultures it is represents nature-based magic. Nature was at the center of the Norse universe, which grew around Yggdrasil, the world tree.
The bracelet itself is decorated with patterns characteristic of Norse art that look like armor links. This is the perfect piece to arm yourself like a Viking warrior to take on the modern world.
The bracelet is adjustable with a ligt squeece to a range of 6 1/4 in (16cm) to 8 1/4 in (21cm) without any effort. Do not worry if you hear a quiet crackle - this is normal for pewter. Please do not unbend or bend the bracelet more than necessary because jewelry also has its lifespan.
