What does this jewelry represent?

This bronze Viking-style dog tag has been designed using authentic Viking artistic styles.

It features the body of a snake, elongated and twisted around itself to form a long and unending pattern.

The pronounced dots along the body emulated Mammen art, a style popular in Denmark in the second half of the 10th century.

The serpent is Jormungandr, the Midgard Serpent.

The gods so feared the potential power of the young Jormungandr that they threw the serpent into the waters surrounding Midgard. There he grew to such an enormous size that he can encircle the entire world and hold his own tail in his mouth. He will only drop his tail at Ragnarok when he will emerge from the waters to get his revenge on the gods.

Destined to fight to the death with Thor, Jormungandr represents the greatest fears of men and gods, fears that must be faced with a Viking's courage.
