There is no more complete symbol of the Viking universe than Yggdrasil.
Also called the World Tree, Yggdrasil sat at the center of the Viking universe, and the nine worlds of the Norse cosmos sat among her roots and branches.
Yggdrasil both connected the worlds, and maintained order, keeping the different realms separate from one another.
The Norns, the Norse fates, used the runes to carve the fate of men into the bark of the great tree.
This ring uses a classic Yggdrasil design as its signet. It is set in a band inspired by the Mammen design style, popular in Denmark in the 10th century.
