What does this jewelry represent?
While we might associate Viking warriors with the axe, the sword was the preferred weapon among Viking raiders.
They were expensive, so only successful warriors with several raids under their belts owned a sword.
This silver pendant represents a miniature Norse sword, inscribed with the world Valhalla.
Valhalla is the hall of Odin in Asgard. He chooses warriors who have died bravely to take to Valhalla. There they live in a warrior's paradise until they are called on to fight again alongside the gods in the final battle of Ragnarok.
