What does this jewelry represent?
Like most peoples, the Vikings believed in life after death.

But where you ended up depended on how you lived your life. Viking warriors that died bravely on the battlefield were taken by the Valkyries to Valhalla.

This was the hall of Odin, the Norse god of war.

The warriors would feast and fight there until they were called upon to fight again in the final battle at the end of days.

Vikings that did not die in battle might be taken by Hrungnir down to Hel, a cold and lifeless place ruled over by the goddess Hel, one of the children of Loki.

The Valknut was the Viking symbol associated with the afterlife, and appears on many tombs and grave goods.

It seems to have been a symbol of Valhalla.

It might be that the Vikings inscribed the symbol on the belongings of the dead to indicate that they were now in Valhalla.

It is also possible that they used the symbol to ward off Hrungnir, and encourage Odin and his Valkyrie servants to come for their loved ones.

Either way, the Valknut has become inextricably connected with the idea of the death of the Viking warrior, and living every moment with courage and without fear.

Nordic Ring

Good ring. I ordered the wrong size so I had to use an adjuster to help it on a finger. I’ve worn it for about 3 days and now it’s turning my finger a little green/black. It’s still a good ring and I will wear it every weekend since I can’t wear it at work.

This ring was my first purchase from V.K.N.G jewelry and I must say I'm impressed. The quality of the engraving is honestly amazing, to say it is crisp and clean would I feel be an understatement. The sizing is also pretty accurate +/- half a size which in my experience is a higher level of accuracy than most jewellers. With that being said I can most definitely recommend this ring without hesitation.

It is a very good fit, and while it feels a bit flimsy, it's sturdier than it looks.
It is heavy enough for you to feel on your finger and light enough not to bother you.
My only complaint is that in the very same day it arrived, I gently rubbed a piece of cloth on the inside and it turned black and revealed some protuding dots (like pimples), but it's still comfortable to wear and the outside is very smooth and solid.
Otherwise the craftsmanship is not perfect but near it, the patterns are great, some minor flaws exist but it is to be expected and unless you're very nitpicky you probably won't even notice.
Overall a great and beautiful piece, powerful and elegant design
