Yggdrasil was fundamental to the Viking view of the world and shaped ideas about the power of nature and the interconnectedness of all things.

This stunning gold ring represents those connections, with branches cross-crossing and influencing one another. Using natural objects to create geometric patterns was a stable of Viking artistic design.
