Vegvisir - The Norse Compass

Vegvisir, also known as the Norse Compass, is a magical runic stave found in magical grimoires from 18th-century Iceland. According to the book, those who use the runic symbol will never lose their way, even if they don't know where they are going.

While the text probably refers to navigation, Vegvisir has become a symbol of spiritual guidance in Asatru.

This stainless steel necklace faithfully reproduces the Vegvisir pendants from the grimoires and is the ideal symbol for modern Viking adventurers looking for the guidance and protection of the old gods.

The Vikings believed that their runes were more than just an alphabet. Knowledgeable runemasters could use the runes as magical tools. While many heroes in the sagas are described as runemasters, we know very little about how runic magic was actually practiced in the Viking age. But the Icelandic grimoires do offer insight into how they were used by the Nordic descendants of the Vikings.
