Description : What does this product represent?

Armrings were a popular piece of jewellery among the Vikings. They were sometimes given as gifts as a sign of commitment and loyalty. Among some Viking communities, they were also used to swear important oaths.

This armring, available in bronze or silver, is decorated with the Viking runic alphabet and the Valknut, the symbol of Valhalla.

Valhalla is Odin's great hall in Asgard. He chooses the bravest fallen warriors to live there in paradise, until they are called on to fight again alongside the gods at Ragnarok.

The runes are also associated with Odin. He learned the secrets of the runes by hanging himself from Yggdrasil for nine days and nights, pierced by his own sword. He shared those secrets with mankind. The runes are not just used for writing, but are also considered a magical toolkit for those who understand them.
